Be Water

In this installation, water becomes both the screen and the medium. By bringing the natural qualities of water into an installation, human movement becomes the controller, allowing for interaction and the creation of different water effects. This encourages viewers to experience ripples in an untouched way and to rethink the meanings behind them. This playful interaction recalls the joy many of us felt around water in childhood—something often missing in our digital, modern lives.

Capture real-time input of dynamic water ripples using a webcam to generate AI-powered images. The system processes the live video feed, translating the rippling patterns into creative outputs influenced by customizable prompts and adjustable parameter settings.
Users can experiment with various prompts and customized parameters to explore and modify the real-time interplay between physical motion and AI-generated visuals.

AI with Ripples

This installation aims to use subwoofer vibrations to influence the water weaves in the metal pan. The interactive part uses the Touchdesigner media pipe plugin. First, it uses a web camera to detect hand gestures, measuring the distance between hands and the sensor. Then transfer the data to affect the frequency of musical vibrations, influencing water vibrations. Another camera captures real-time changes on the water’s surface, and the images are sent to an AI model (StreamDiffusion) to generate interactive content projected onto the wall.
